Preview the Staff Agreement

This agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between YOUR_COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME ("Company") and the undersigned individual ("Staff Member") as of the date signed below.

1. Independent Contractor Status

The Staff Member acknowledges that they are engaged as an independent contractor and not as an employee of YOUR_COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME. As such, nothing in this Agreement shall be interpreted as creating an employer-employee relationship. The Staff Member is responsible for their own tax obligations, including income tax and self-employment tax.

The Staff Member is not entitled to benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or unemployment insurance. They are expected to provide their own transportation and manage their own schedule outside of confirmed shift commitments.

2. Position and Responsibilities

Staff Members agree to perform services in alignment with event requirements and Company standards, while maintaining discretion and independent judgment.

The Staff Member confirms that they are in healthy physical shape and able to sit, stand, kneel, and lift up to 80 lbs.

3. Shifts and Scheduling

Staff will be notified of available shifts through the Connecteam app and may choose to accept them voluntarily. Accepting a shift is a commitment to attend and complete the assignment as scheduled. The Staff Member is not required to accept a minimum number of assignments.

If the Staff Member is unable to attend a shift they have accepted, they must notify an admin as soon as possible and unclaim the shift on Connecteam. If the cancellation occurs within 3 days of the event date, the Staff Member is responsible for finding a suitable replacement, whether that is another trained team member or someone new who is properly briefed and willing to step in. The Company reserves the right to approve or deny any replacement. Failure to secure a replacement may affect future shift eligibility.

Late arrivals or no-shows may result in disciplinary action, including reduced shift opportunities or removal from the active roster.

4. Pay and Compensation

Payment will be made by the agreed-upon hourly rate. Payouts will be issued weekly to the account provided during onboarding.

5. Conduct and Appearance

Staff are expected to be professional, respectful, and courteous to clients, children, and teammates. Company-branded shirts or approved attire must be worn at all events.

Any inappropriate behavior, including harassment, intoxication, or theft, will result in immediate termination of the working relationship.

6. Equipment and Safety

Staff must follow safety protocols when handling equipment. Damage due to negligence may result in disciplinary action. Training will be provided for all relevant equipment.

7. Confidentiality

Staff may not share or disclose client information, warehouse address, unit number, or access codes to any third party without written permission.

8. Criminal Background

Little Builder Party Rentals reserves the right to request a criminal background check at any time before or during this agreement. Additionally, the Staff Member must inform the Company immediately if they are involved in or charged with any criminal offense while under agreement with Little Builder Party Rentals. Failure to do so may result in removal from the active roster or termination of this agreement.

9. At-Will Employment

This Agreement is at-will. The Company may end this working relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice. The Staff Member is expected to provide at least 7 days' notice before termination of their working relationship with the Company or a hiatus from work. Failure to do so may be noted in our internal records and result in the individual being deprioritized for future opportunities.
